Summer '24 Re-Post #2
Cardiac Arrest
Since finishing the five-part story about my husband’s stroke and brain surgery, I felt the need to re-post the other stories I’ve written about his health, which were emailed to only a small portion of my current subscribers.
Below is the story I posted in January about his cardiac arrest in 2014, twenty-five years after the events detailed in my five-part story, “Remembering A Scar.”
My apologies to those who have already read this story. You get one more week off and, once again, my eternal gratitude for being an early supporter of my writing!
Just a Blink will return with new posts the next two Fridays.
I look forward to hearing what you think!
Cardiac Arrest
On January 9, 2014, my husband had cardiac arrest. According to the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation, every day nearly 1,000 people in the U.S. suffer out-of-hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). For nine out of ten victims, SCA is fatal. My husband was one of the 10% to live that day.

This is such a smart idea for folks who have only recently joined the journey. It's such beautiful writing that sharing it more than once just makes sense. Thanks, Cherie!
Stories like these don’t lose their relevance, they only grow in meaning as life keeps unfolding. Thanks for sharing them they still land gently and powerfully. These pieces don’t lose their relevance, and the way you tell the story continue to matter.
